Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Transport Manager to oversee all aspects of our school’s transportation system. The Transport Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students, staff, and boarding residents. This role includes managing drivers, conductors, and nannies, maintaining the school bus fleet, coordinating transportation logistics, and handling transportation-related ERP systems.
Job Requirement
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers and conductors.
- Ensure all drivers and conductors adhere to safety standards and school policies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Nanny Management:
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of nannies.
- Ensure nannies follow safety protocols and provide appropriate care to students.
- Maintain the school bus fleet in excellent condition.
- Schedule regular maintenance and inspections of buses.
- Ensure buses meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the transportation module in the school’s ERP system.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of transportation records.
- Generate reports and analyze transportation data.
- Coordinate with the accounts department to facilitate the collection of transport fees.
- Ensure accurate billing and timely fee realization.
- Organize transportation for school staff and boarding residents as needed.
- Ensure timely and reliable transport services for all school-related activities.
- Ensure the proper functioning of GPS and other technical tools used for transportation.
- Monitor and analyze GPS data for optimizing routes and schedules.
- Develop and manage bus schedules to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Coordinate with school administration to accommodate special transportation needs.
- Implement programs and initiatives to ensure the welfare and morale of bus staff.
- Address any grievances or issues raised by bus staff.
- Monitor and manage fuel consumption and costs.
- Implement measures to optimize fuel efficiency.
- Ensure bus staff adhere to schedules and maintain punctuality.
- Promote and enforce traffic discipline among drivers.
- Establish and enforce grooming standards for bus staff.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with grooming policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role.
- Strong understanding of transportation management and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and GPS technology.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
